Weber is old-school American pipe royalty. Founded in New York by Carl B. Weber in 1938, the company cranked out millions of pipes over the next forty years and helped define the American pipe market. They weren’t trying to be flashy—they were building dependable smokers for everyday guys. That’s exactly why so many are still around.
One thing a lot of collectors miss: Weber also owned Jobey during its American years and was behind the Jobey Dansk line carved by Karl Erik. That’s a pretty cool piece of pipe history that ties Weber directly into the Danish freehand boom.
Quality depends on the line. The lower-end pipes are honest blue-collar smokers. Step up into the better grades—Golden Walnut, Imported Briar, or the Danish freehands—and you can find some genuinely excellent pipes that still sell for less than they should.
If you see one: Don’t turn your nose up because it says Weber. They’re usually well drilled, smoke cool, and the nicer grades are one of the better bargains left in American estates. Sometimes the best pipe on the table isn’t wearing the fanciest name.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
