Founded in Istanbul by brothers Ahmed and Bekir Şahin in the early 1970s, Şahin Pipo is one of Turkey’s best-known briar pipe makers. They built their reputation on honest, affordable smoking pipes rather than flashy high grades, and that’s exactly where they still live.
Most Şahins lean toward traditional English and Danish shapes with clean lines, sturdy construction, and acrylic stems on later production. You’ll occasionally see “Rose Root” in their literature—that’s simply the Turkish term for briar, not a different wood.
They’re sleepers on the estate market. The fit and finish won’t rival a Castello or a Former, but a good Şahin is usually drilled right, smokes cool, and can be bought for a fraction of the price. They were made to be smoked, not parked in a display case.
If you find one with good grain and clean engineering, don’t let the unfamiliar name scare you off. There’s a lot of pipe there for the money.

I combine shipping on orders over $40 in the continental US, just ask!
Measurements available upon request.
My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
