London Stud is one of those old trade names that sounds a whole lot grander than the pipe usually was, but that’s half the charm.
The name is generally tied to Hollco — Henry O. Leonard Co., the big American pipe wholesaler/importer. That makes London Stud much more likely to have been an American-market house or trade brand than some proper London marque. Most examples seem to fall in that mid-century range, roughly 1960s into the 1970s, when tobacconist racks were absolutely lousy with names like this.
You’ll see mostly traditional shapes, straightforward finishes, and a few oddballs including meerschaum-lined and applewood examples, which tells us London Stud probably wasn’t one single factory line. Hollco likely sourced them where it made sense and stamped the name on the shank.
There’s also some old confusion with Wally Frank and Weber references, but part of that seems to come from folks mixing up London Stud with London Stub. Easy mistake when half these old pipe names sound like they were invented after three bourbons.
So what’ve you got? A mid-century American trade pipe wearing an English name, probably sold to look respectable sitting in a tobacconist case without costing a man half his paycheck. Not fancy, not blue-blooded, but a neat survivor from a time when pipe shops had house brands stacked to the rafters.

I combine shipping on orders over $40 in the continental US, just ask!
Measurements available upon request.
My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
