Bari pipes were part of Denmark’s golden export era, built for smokers who wanted reliable performance without paying artisan premiums. The brand was founded by Viggo Nielsen, a respected Danish maker who understood drilling, balance, and how a pipe should actually smoke. Bari sat in that sweet spot between handmade and factory production — consistent, well-engineered, and intentionally practical rather than flashy.
This pipe is a classic Bari Viking: large, comfortable, and shaped for long, easy sessions. The bent brandy profile carries weight in the bowl without feeling clumsy, and the execution reflects Nielsen’s focus on function first. It’s not a hype piece and it’s not pretending to be — just honest Danish craftsmanship from a maker who knew what mattered at the bench and in the smoke.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
