That’s a tomato worth picking a fight over.
Wide through the bowl, beautifully rounded underneath, and flowing into a rising shank—this Teipen has curves for days. The warm reddish finish brings that rippling sandblast to life, while a slim, pale accent sets off the sweeping black stem. The whole silhouette looks damn good from bowl to button.
Wayne Teipen built his reputation through meticulous shaping, careful engineering, and serious attention to detail. He also helped fellow Indiana artisan Nate King develop his craft—King credits hours in Teipen’s workshop and his invaluable advice. That’s craftsmanship with an influence beyond the stamp.
And this beauty? Made in 2014. Still unsmoked. Twelve years on, with its first bowl waiting for you.
Put it in your hand, pull up a porch chair, and give those curves the admiration they’ve got coming. This tomato belongs in the prize basket.
Come and take it.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
