Jason Patrick came into pipe making in 2019 with an engineer’s brain, an artist’s eye, and apparently no interest in doing anything halfway. What started as a hands-on creative outlet turned into a full-blown artisan career, and by the end of 2024 he had already produced nearly 600 handmade pipes.

Patrick cut his teeth on the classics: billiards, Dublins, apples, Lovats and Rhodesians, then started stretching his legs into Danish inspired freehands and more sculptural work. His philosophy is dead simple: the grain gets a vote. On his freehands, the block helps dictate the final shape, and that shows in pipes that feel intentional rather than forced.

And the market has noticed. Patrick’s work is carried by serious pipe houses including Iwan Ries and Smokestead, with current retail examples running roughly $390–$775, while his own smooth commissions start at $400 and climb depending on briar, accents and execution. In 2024 he introduced his numbered Voyager high-grade pieces, reserved for the best work and best material he can put on the bench. (

This is one of those American makers you pay attention to before everybody else decides they should have been paying attention.

Clean engineering. Killer shaping. Serious briar. And a maker whose trajectory is pointed straight north.

Jason Patrick ain’t knocking on the door anymore. He’s in the damn house.

Lightly smoked, Professionally restored. Stem is 9/10. Come and take it.

I combine shipping on orders over $40 in the continental US, just ask!

Measurements available upon request.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
