Navigator is one of those shadow-lane Danish names that serious estate hunters eventually bump into and go, “Wait… this smokes better than it has any right to.” Produced as a second line out of the Kriswill orbit, Navigator pipes came from the same broader Danish industrial-artisan ecosystem that was turning out stylish, affordable briars through the 1960s–80s boom years.
What that means in real-world terms is simple: you’re often getting true Danish shaping DNA and solid factory craftsmanship without the price tag or prestige stamping of the flagship lines. These pipes tend to show classic Danish cues — forward-leaning bowls, light feel in the hand, and sandblasts or rustications that were meant to be smoked hard, not just admired under glass.
Navigator wasn’t about chasing exhibition straight grain or artisan ego pieces. It was about delivering good briar, good engineering, and modern Scandinavian styling to everyday smokers. And because they were seconds, you’ll sometimes see cosmetic quirks or slightly more workmanlike finishing — but also surprisingly lively blasts, bold proportions, and shapes that feel closer to freehand thinking than conservative English factory lines.
Collector positioning today sits in that sweet opportunistic zone. They’re still undervalued compared to big-name Danish brands, which makes them catnip for knowledgeable buyers who want authentic period Danish character without paying Stanwell or Svendborg money. A clean Navigator with strong shaping can punch well above its perceived tier — especially when presented right and priced like a sleeper find rather than a bargain bin pipe.

I combine shipping on orders over $40 in the continental US, just ask!
Measurements available upon request.
My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
