Jost pipes came out of St. Louis, Missouri, where Jost’s was a well-known tobacconist and pipe shop with roots going back to the late 1800s.
Their house-brand pipes were sourced from quality makers and sold in a wide range of grades, with plenty of good briar turning up under the Jost stamp. They’ve got that classic American tobacconist-shop pedigree without the big-name collector premium.
Solid old-school briar, a little St. Louis history, and usually a better pipe than the name recognition would suggest.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
