GEFAPIP! Sounds like something you’d holler after stubbing your toe, but there’s some French pipe history behind that name.
Gefapip came out of the Saint-Claude region and appeared in Tinder Box’s 1979 catalog. Back when folks walked into a tobacco shop, looked through the pipe cabinets, and picked out a briar that spoke to them.
And that’s why I enjoy finding these. Every stamp sends you down another rabbit hole, and sometimes you come back with a name that deserves a little more attention.
Gefapip might take a second to pronounce, but I reckon we can make room for some French around here.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
