Chacom is old blood. Saint-Claude old. The kind of name that was shaping briar when most countries were still figuring out what to do with it. The Chapuis-Comoy family roots go back to the 1800s, and the Chacom name itself has been stamped on pipes since 1928. That’s not boutique nostalgia — that’s institutional memory.

This isn’t a lone artisan in a shed chasing straight grain glory shots. Chacom is French production done right. Factory, yes — but a Saint-Claude factory, where pipe making isn’t a trend, it’s oxygen. They know how to drill a pipe. They know how to cure briar. They know how to turn out shapes that sit right in the hand and smoke without drama.

Design-wise, they lean classic European. Billiards, dublins, bent apples, the occasional modern line to remind you they’re still awake. Nothing reckless. Nothing trying too hard. Just balanced proportions and finishes that range from honest sandblasts to clean, traditional smooths.

They’re not blue-chip collector bait. You’re not buying Chacom to flex on a Danish freehand guy. You’re buying it because you want a pipe that lights, draws, and behaves. A weekday pipe. A road trip pipe. A “don’t overthink it” pipe.

Chacom is what happens when a region builds an industry and then keeps refining it for 150 years.

Not flashy. Not rare. Just French backbone and reliable briar that’s been doing its job longer than most brands have existed.

Everything is 10/10. Come and take it.

I combine shipping on orders over $40 in the continental US, just ask!

Measurements available upon request.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion
