Geordie Pipes are the work of English artisan pipemaker Stuart “Geordie” Johnson, part of the modern British handmade pipe scene. Johnson builds his pipes individually in England, with a style that runs from traditional English shapes into chunkier, more contemporary artisan work. His pipes are very much bench-made pieces rather than production pipes, and you’ll see plenty of hand-shaped briar, creative stem work and occasional colorful or unusual materials. (Instagram)
Johnson has become increasingly visible among UK collectors and makers, appearing alongside names such as Chris Askwith and Eldritch Pipes, and Geordie Pipes have developed a following among guys who appreciate modern British artisan work without everything having to look like it came out of a 1920s Dunhill catalog. These are proper small-production English artisan pipes made by one man, with each piece carrying Johnson’s own shaping and finishing rather than being knocked out by a factory. If you like finding contemporary makers before everybody and their brother starts chasing them, Geordie is a damn good name to know.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
